Bud Anderson, left, and Frank DuPuis, squared off drawing the wide-eyed admiration of this group shown in the basement of Gus Purvis’s poolroom, which was located on Sixth Street, between Main and Washington. DuPuis fought as a welterweight and was the champion of the Fort Lewis national guard encampment. Anderson was the professional lightweight champion of the Northwest.
